Did you know that registration and nomination are not the same thing?
Registration alerts voters that you are either accepting campaign contributions or that your campaign is self-funded. Candidates must register with the Returning Officer before accepting any campaign contributions. Self-funded candidates may choose to register.
Nomination papers are signed by a minimum of five eligible voters and includes the signed statement of the candidate. This form must be filed with the Returning Officer between 8 a.m. and 12 p.m. on Monday, September 18, 2017, at one of the designated locations.
