Potential candidates to fill a vacant councillor seat on Red Deer City Council have just under a week left to get their nomination package submitted. The deadline to submit is Monday, March 25 at noon.

Candidates must be at least 18 years old, a Canadian citizen, a resident of Red Deer for at least six consecutive months preceding nomination day and have a completed nomination package including a nomination paper and candidate acceptance form and candidate financial information form.

Candidates must file their papers to the Returning Officer by noon on Monday, March 25. Candidate information packages are available at elections.reddeer.ca and a final list of candidate names will be posted on March 27, 2024.
