About the Candidate

Leading with passion for education, I am currently pursuing my Bachelor of Education at RDP, which connects me to long-term goals for strengthening our public school system. Since 2021, I’ve served in a volunteer executive role on my school’s parent council. My husband and I have four children in the public system, giving me firsthand insight into the changes needed to support student success. It would be an honor for me to continue to serve in the educational space.

Candidate Priorities

Protecting Public Education	I will work tirelessly to secure every available dollar and see them go directly to fund the public education system. Doing so will empower our public system to provide an excellent education for all children.
Learning Disruption	Safeguarding an appropriate adult to child ratio will be one of my top priorities, with the aim of addressing classroom challenges. Educators can then effectively support student learning.
Advocating for Staff	I will be present in schools in order to collaborate with staff so their visions and ideas for education are heard. Together we can improve learning environments.
Transparency	Transparency and honesty are essential when holding a position entrusted by the public. I will make logical, effective decisions grounded in integrity that uphold the values of Red Deer Public Schools.
Approachable	As a trustee, I will represent all voices. Promoting communication and positive solutions from all stakeholders. I will be your voice to ensure all points of view are respected, considered, and valued.
