About the Candidate

I am a wife, mother, and grandmother. I have worked in Red Deer Catholic for 24 years as a teacher, educational assistant and guest teacher. I am active in ministries and leadership in the Catholic parishes in our area and remain passionate about Catholic education. I believe trusteeship in Catholic education is a vocation and work to support the future of Catholic education. I have a background in governance and continue to be a life long learner.

Candidate Priorities

Protect Catholic identity of schools	fostering faith-based culture through prayer, sacramental celebrations, and curriculum integration, while ensuring that all staff are committed to Catholic teachings and values
Advocate for needs of students and staff	establish open communication with the students and staff, build relationships and participate in school events
Strong interaction between home, parish & school	maintain and strengthen a strong Catholic presence for our students and their families, more partnerships between parish and schools with each other partner in education
Continue strong division performance	create strategic plans that establish high learning expectations for all students, ensure that policies and resources are in place so that these expectations are possible, and regularly monitor and receive reports on student achievement
Creative problem-solving	listen to the variety of perspectives to find solutions to challenges by first understanding the problem, brainstorming possibilities, and then evaluating and implementing the best ones
