About the Candidate
I love cultivating curiosity and building community. My motto: SPARK JOY! I grew up in Red Deer. I obtained my degree in Community Rehabilitation from the University of Calgary, Faculty of Medicine in 2010. I have since worked in social services for the Government of Alberta. My husband and I have kids in Elementary and Middle School. I have volunteered my time to various sports and community organizations. I have been Vice Chair of School Council. I understand the current education system.
Candidate Priorities
| Championing Equity for Every Student | I believe all students should feel safe, included, and supported. This means giving every learner what they need to succeed—academically, socially, and emotionally. |

| Advancing Student Success and Completion | Our children are our future. Every student deserves a clear path to success and to build resilience and responsibility. When our children feel successful, they will flourish to become adults with value and purpose. |
| Supporting Teachers and Staff | The working conditions for teachers and staff are the learning conditions for students. Educators need support to help students thrive. I’ll advocate for manageable class sizes, mental health supports, and professional development for staff. |
| Building Trust and Transparency in Decision-Making | All families deserve a voice in education. I will promote open communication, data-informed decisions, and community input to build trust and keep students at the center. |
| Investment | I’m a builder! Education is a tremendous asset. For something to remain an asset, we need to protect and invest in it. Building upon our education system will have exponential value for students and our whole community. |
