I'm Jason Dalstra a proud Red Deer resident for 25+ years, husband, and father of two in public school. As a hospitality professional, part of our service is about bringing people together, solving challenges, and creating welcome environments. Now, I'm ready to serve our community by focusing on the needs of families, students, and educators. I believe that strong schools are a foundation of a thriving community and I am committed to building solutions that reflect Red Deer's values and voices.

Candidate Priorities

Integrity	I believe in honest, transparent decision making that puts students first. Integrity means being accountable, building trust, and ensuring that every action serves the long-term interests of our children and Red Deer Public Schools.
Inclusion	Every voice matters. I commit to advocating for spaces where all students, families, and educators feel seen, heard, and valued. Inclusion is not just a principle, it’s a strategy for building stronger, more resilient schools and communities.
Equity	Fairness in education means recognizing and addressing barriers so that every student, regardless of background has the opportunity to succeed. Equity is about tailoring solutions to meet real needs, not just applying one-size-fits-all policies.
Direction toward Progress	Progress starts with listening. I’m committed to continuous learning and responsive action. Whether it’s through feedback from families or collaboration with educators, I believe in adapting and evolving to meet changing needs.
Collaboration	The best solutions come from working together. I value partnerships with parents, teachers, administrators, and community organizations. I believe that lasting change is built through shared effort and mutual respect.
