About the Candidate

As a professional accountant with experience in banking, executive leadership, municipal and provincial governance, I care deeply about responsible finances and strong local leadership. Community involvement includes leadership roles with CARE for Newcomers, Etana Supports Society, Red Deer Ten Thousand Villages and the Red Deer Hospice Society. I love a good hike, riding my bike, doing crosswords on our deck and being with family — especially if there’s pumpkin pie or raisin tarts involved.

Candidate Priorities

Lead with Purpose, Focused on Red Deer	Leadership with intention, focused, result-driven, with community first. From economic growth to turning the tide on social disruption, every choice must have the primary goal in mind: a financially stable, stronger, and resilient Red Deer.
Restore Confidence in City Finances	Rebuild trust that expenses are managed responsibly starting with an accurate financial picture. The recent Financial Roadmap report has highlighted the need for immediate improvements in reporting, policy and capital planning.
Economic Vitality	Implement the Economic Ad Hoc Committee’s recommendation to establish an independent body to promote Red Deer, outside bureaucratic processes. Measure success from job growth, new business ventures and new assessment.
Turn the Tide on Social Disruption	Addressing social disruption (addictions, crime, homelessness) is a challenging priority with a direct impact on economic growth and community confidence. Effective advocacy with the province is vital to ensuring Red Deer’s needs are heard.
Stick to Municipal Matters	Concentrate on core services that matter to citizens: maintaining reliable infrastructure, keeping taxes fair and transparent, ensuring public safety, thoughtful development and investing in recreational spaces.
