About the Candidate
I was born and raised in Red Deer, and still call it my home alongside my wife and 3 daughters- two of which are enrolled in Catholic school here in Red Deer. I have been serving Central Alberta and this community my whole adult life as a paramedic and firefighter. Red Deer is my home, and I am invested in this community. I will strive to make our schools child and family oriented, where kids can just be kids, and we as parents can watch them thrive.
Candidate Priorities
| Get schools back to basics. | Bring schools back to basics—Math, Reading, Science. Teach ABCs and 1-2-3s, not activism. Focus on real issues: boost literacy, feed hungry kids, support sports, and help those still struggling from COVID school closures. |

| Family at the forefront | Allow parents and caregivers to be more involved when they want to be, with less red tape. Parents should have a stronger ability to hold their schools accountable, and parents need to have more say in what their kids are learning and doing. |
| I will have the hard conversations for you. | I’ll bring your concerns to the board and speak up for you—even if meetings feel intimidating. I work for you. Let’s have real conversations, welcome healthy debate, and get parents engaged in what’s happening in our kids’ schools. |
| Your hard-earned dollars should go where they matter most—our kids. Too often, we see waste in school budgets. I’m committed to smart, caring, efficient spending that puts students first and restores trust in how funds are used. | |
| Informal access | Access to city managers and elected officials is lacking in our city. I will organize opportunities for Parents and Teachers to meet at informal locations for real conversations. No schedule to follow, no microphones. |
