About the Candidate

I am a parent within Red Deer Public School District. I have a background in social work, child care and nutrition, and volunteer with my children’s sports teams, school council, and my church. I believe a strong educational system is a wonderful opportunity for our children to thrive. My goal is to bring connection between all those involved in this system - the teachers, staff, volunteers, students, parents, and community members.

Candidate Priorities

Connection	I will commit to being available to listen to concerns and values, and bridge the gap between the community, parents, and the Public School District.
Education	I will continually work with our schools to equip our children with life skills to achieve both academic success as well as personal & community development.
Support	I will support teachers and staff in communicating and advocating for their working conditions. I will continually seek input as to how better to support teachers and staff as they fill a vital role within Red Deer Pubic Schools.
Technology	I will continually promote evaluation of technology within the schools, carefully weighing both advantages and disadvantages as it is used in the classroom.
