About the Candidate

I’ve proudly called Red Deer home for nearly 40 years. I’ve volunteered on community committees and worked with elementary-aged children through my church for nearly a decade. I believe strong public education begins with strong relationships. When parents are involved, students thrive. When teachers feel supported, classrooms flourish. In the face of financial challenges and rapid change, we must work together—families, teachers, and trustees—to ensure every child has the tools to succeed.

Candidate Priorities

Strong Foundations for Lifelong Success	I believe in strong academics built on core subjects and solid fundamentals. Every child deserves the chance to reach their full potential through a public education system that equips them for lifelong success.
Partners in Learning, Focused on Students First	I value the vital role parents play in their child’s education and deeply respect the dedication of teachers and staff. By building strong relationships and working together, we can make sure every decision puts students first and helps them thrive.
Supporting Teachers, Empowering Students	I recognize how complex student needs have made teaching more challenging. Supporting our teachers and ensuring students have the resources and services they need for learning and personal growth is very important.
Collaborating to find the best solutions	Relationships matter. I value respect, accountability, and open communication—especially when listening to diverse viewpoints. I will work to build trust, resolve conflict, and stay focused on shared goals for student success.
