Red Deer Elections 2021
The City of Red Deer has a number of resources available for potential candidates. To assist you through the election process, the following resources have been developed to ensure you do not miss any of the legislated steps.
In order to become a candidate in the 2021 election, you must file your nomination forms with the Returning Officer during the nomination period.
Nomination period starts on January 1, 2021 and ends at 12 noon on Nomination Day (Monday, September 20, 2021).
In order to become a candidate in the 2021 election, you must file Form 4 - Nomination and Candidate's Acceptance with the Returning Officer during the nomination period. Use the correct form for the office that you are running for:

Candidate biographies are optional; however, a biography does provide the voters the reason why you are running for office, what you hope to accomplish when in office and the qualities that make you the best candidate.
A form will be provided to all candidates to collect their candidate profile. You may prepare the following information in advance:
