Advance voting is open for the 2025 Municipal and School Boards Election in Red Deer. Eligible voters can cast their ballot for Mayor, Councillors and School Board Trustees starting today, Tuesday, October 14, through Saturday, October 18. Polling stations are open 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. daily.

Voting during the advance period gives residents flexibility and helps them to avoid lineups on Election Day, Monday, October 20.To vote in this election, you must be at least 18 years old, a Canadian citizen, and a resident of the jurisdiction you are voting in.

• Harvest Centre, Westerner Park - 4847A 19 Street

Red Deer voters have the flexibility to cast their ballot at any voting station in the city. There are no area-specific voting requirements within city limits, and a voter card is not required. Red Deer area Catholic School Board voters who reside outside city limits can vote at any voting station within their ward.

Identification is required at the voting station. Accepted ID must include your name and current residential address. Voters who do not have acceptable identification with their current address may have another elector vouch for them. For voters who are unable to vote in person, special ballots are available. These can be requested online at specialballots.reddeer.ca until 4:30 p.m. today, Tuesday, October 14, 2025. Please note that deadlines apply for both requesting and returning special ballots. Full details are available online.
